We have been manufacturing these units for 15 years and have the most experience in the industry with units installed throughout Western Canada. Our guards can be shipped anywhere required. These guards provide access to sites ( landfills, lagoons, transfer stations) without the need for gates to be opened every time access is required.

If security after hours is required we often add our complimentary product, electric bear gates, which can be closed at end of business day to prevent unwanted traffic across the guard. All of our guards are tested in our shop and provide 7500V + of energy which provides plenty of deterrent to bears. Units are available in 110V or solar option for remote sites.

There are 3 different configurations for installation:

1. Direct to Earth
Involves excavation of a trench and placement of guard and backfill compaction to leading edges.
2. Concrete "Lock-Block" System
Our system involves excavation and placement of blocks at each edge of the trench at the exact width of the Bear guard. We like to use stepped blocks to provide a clean surface at leading edges of the guard. The advantages to this system are that a deeper more formidable trench can be achieved ( this open area beneath the guard makes bears uneasy to cross). Another advantage is ease of installation and cleaning trench every few years or as required. We prefer this method as there is no redimix concrete or expensive form work required.
3. Long-Term Installation
Permanent footings for long-term sites. This may be the best route to go for permanent transfer stations or landfills, that will be in place for many years. This method is the most expensive, but it is the best option.
